The series of unique pieces parasitos is a sensitive examination of parasitic organisms that form connections with their carriers in various ways – a fusion defined by dependence. The work centres on the delicate shape of the creatures, which is hidden from the human eye. Through traditional forging techniques such as chasing and hallmarking, upsetting and driving the metals, a translation of natural formations into solid materials takes place – a transformation allowing the hidden to become visible.
